Have you girls ever wondered how do be a role model in your own school & community without being to bold or obnoxious?? Well, the best way to be a rolemodel is to be confident in yourself, but not a snob. You can also just set simple examples for others to follow like treating others the way you want to be treated (Golden Rule), being responsible, being respectful, looking at life in a different & more possitive way, or just by going out of your way to help someone. It may seem hard to get people’s attention & to get &/or see the change, but don’t give up. You can’t see the outcome of your attitude by always looking forward. Look back because if you’re the leader, people will be following you. Even the littlest difference in people’s lives can lead to a greater outcome later down the road.
Q1.) If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
My Answer: If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to New York City!! I’ve always wanted to go there because of the amazing things that happen there! I want to see Broadway shows, visit Times Square, and shop around the city. I hope that someday, I will be able to go to New York and have an awesome time!
Q2.) How does it feel to be called a role model?
My Answer: It feels great to be called a role model. I feel so honored and happy when I hear people call me a role model, and I feel special and important when I find out that people think such nice things about me. I think that anybody can be a role model, though… you just have to keep a positive attitude, think about other people before yourself, and think before you act!
Q3.) How can you work towards social justice in your lifetime?
My Answer: I can work towards social justice by always treating everyone fairly and equally. I can serve as a role model for other people by treating everyone the same… the way I’d like to be treated. If someone is being treated unfairly, I can point this out and try to help them get the privileges and respect that they deserve.
Hello, everyone! Right now, I’m going to answer the questions that were submitted to Discovery Girls editors. Here they are!: 1) If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why. A: If I could go anywhere in the world, I would like to go to a lower economic country such as Mexico or another country in Central America. I would want to go there, so I could help the families there. I would help them by starting a food drive and a donation business. I would collect the money and use it to give water and other things they may need. I feel it is important to help these families. These families need help so that can have happier and better lives. A mother and father should be able to concentrate on bringing up their children and have to worry about getting the basics of life. 2) How does it feel to be called a role model? Being called a role model makes feel so honored. To think that younger girls look up to me and think of me as their role model makes me feel important. Showing children what a good example is makes me feel proud. Ever since I was little, I would look up to my role models and wish that I could be just like them when I got older. Now, my dream has became a reality! Being a role model is a big responsibility because sometimes it’s hard to do the right thing. Through my actions, I hope to influence younger girls to do their best always. : ) 3) How can you work towards social justice in your life time? There are so many things you can do to work towards social justice. I work for social justice by tutoring children in a lower economic area of Los Angeles. (Read all about in my blog) Giving people a chance makes me feel so happy. You can also work towards social justice by doing small things in your own community such as recycling, picking up little pieces of trash, treating others kindly, and so many more things! Check out my videos to see a video I created about social justice. It will touch your heart. Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to show you that I am a role model.
