DG Reader Spotlight: What You’re Thankful For!

DG Reader Spotlight: What You’re Thankful For!

We asked you to tell us what you were thankful for this year, and so many of you answered! While each and every answer was special, we could only choose five responses to feature in this week’s Reader Spotlight blog! As usual, everyone featured in this week’s blog will receive a set of our Fab Girls Guides!

If your response wasn’t picked, don’t worry! There are still so many ways you can contribute to the magazine and the web site! Visit our contribute page to find out more, or check back regularly to see if we’re looking for information only YOU can give us!

Once again, thanks to everyone who responded! If you’re wondering what we’re thankful for this year… it’s YOU,  our loyal readers! Thanks so much for all your support!

Now, onto our five chosen responses:

Ella

I am thankful for my BFFs and cousins Payton and Mickey. I do not know what I would do without them. Payton and I are a little older than Mickey, but we are all still BFFs. Even though they live far away, they are always there for me. We always keep in contact by phone, and we are lucky enough to get to visit each other about once a month. I am so lucky to have BFFs that are also related to me. This is what I am thankful for this year.

Victoria

I am thankful for my mom because she is always there for me and never gives up. She is my hero and I will always love her. Without her, I wouldn’t even be here!

Tiffany

Every year, everybody is thankful for something! Family, friends, or someone special they met. But this year, I’m thankful that my dad survived cancer. It has affected so many people in our family, but we realized it brought us closer together. So, if there was one thing that I’m thankful for this year, it’s that my dad is by my side, healthy and better than ever.

Lexie

I am so thankful for my best friend. We help each other through the ups and downs and we give each other advice when one is having trouble. We are always together. When we go shopping, some of the clerks even ask if we are sisters. I don’t know where I’d be without my best friend.

RaeAnn

I am most thankful for my extremely supportive family. They have been my role models throughout my life. They feed me and supply a roof over my head. These were all things I took for granted until I realized life isn’t about glamour, or the clothes you have. It’s about love, and I am so thankful that I have a family that loves me to death and would do anything for me. I’m thankful for my friends that have always been there for me through thick and thin. I am also thankful for all of my teachers that have taught me everything I know. Education is something else I have taken for granted. I have always looked at school as something I had to do, until I realized some people would do anything to go to school. Finally, I am thankful for a church camp I went to. It changed my life forever and now I look at the world with a new perspective.
