Summer Fashion: The Inside “Scoop”!

When someone says “summer,” I think sun, sand, and surf! So when it was time to pick a location for our June/July issue’s fashion shoot, I couldn’t think of any place more perfect than the beach! I knew the California coast would make a great setting for our readers to model the cutest summer styles—plus it meant I’d get to spend an entire day at the beach…for work!
As for summer treats, I’m all about ice cream…and so were Claire and Breanna! When I asked if they’d pose with double-scoop ice cream cones, they were totally up for it! The downside? They couldn’t eat any ice cream until we’d captured the perfect photo. (I know it sounds so unfair, but I couldn’t let them mess up their lip gloss!)
Want to know the bad thing about ice cream? It melts! So while Claire and Breanna were trying different poses, ice cream was starting to drip…all over. I didn’t have any napkins (oops!), so now I actually needed them to eat some of that ice cream before it ruined the clothes!
Lucky for me, they happily agreed! Here they are, enjoying melted ice cream—yum!—and some laughs!

Girls Survival guide 2007
I just loved the girls survival guide 2007. I got it in the mail 2 days ago and I read the whole entire thing the first day I got it. It had all of my favorite things in. I am really thankful for the worst day story Stalked on the internet. It taught me just because you met them at school doesn’t mean that they are safe. I used to just give out my personal info but now I think twice. I will keep the girls survival guide 2007 for ever It was a lot better than the girls survival guide 2005.

Ice Cream
I love the feel of ice cream dripping down my arm while wearing a casual summer dress in the breeze. The best part is actually eating the ice cream and getting compliments on your outfit!

That photo shoot was so fun, but we were tempted to go into the water! Claire and i had fun with the ice cream even though it was freezing cold, and we were tired. We all had a fun time, and it was cool to see Kayla, Claire, and Felicia again!

Beach Fun!
For Father’s day my family and I went down the shore for the day. My sister and I were getting bored on the beach so we decided to have a photo shoot in the ocean. It was so fun! We jumped over waves, got on each others backs, and took the greatest pictures. My family loved the pictures and we had a lot of fun taking them. Later that night I went out on the boardwalk with my sister. We took pictures with our ice cream, and with different backgrounds including the sunset. We went back on the beach after that and took more pictures including our names written in the sand, us in a boat, and us on a lifeguard stand. We had so much fun and we took some really great pictures. We now ave the pictures and memories from our fun day on the beach!

Fashion~Ice Cream~Fun
If I were a Discovery Girl. I would be one of the luckiest girls in the world. I would be able to take Photo Shots in The best Clotheing at the best places. I would get to express myself , by looking a certain way when I take the photo. Eating Ice Cream would be such a yummy treat. OMG! DISCOVERY GIRLS ROCK!!!! P.S. You guys are doing a great job!!! i think ive been there before...
i was looking at the pic and noticed the backround with all the colorful houses. i think ive been there before. but im not too sure… where did u take the pic? was it near seacliff. cause ive gone camping on the beach in our rv. and near seacliff there are houses like that… so by any chance could it be near seacliff? and i love the clothes!

I applied to be a discovery girl of Ohio and these pictures of girls having so much fun are making me go crazy because i want to be a discovery girl soooooooooooo bad. My summer isnt the best this year and it would so be a cinderella story to start the new year of JR. HIGH!!!!! I hope i get picked and get eat ice cream for DG too!!! {giggles}.
