We think our Girls’ Survival Guide 2007 cover girls Maddi, Felicia, Hayley, Hana, and Stacie did a great job of capturing what Discovery Girls is all about. We hope you agree!
Now, here’s an assignment for you! We want you to interview our Girls’ Survival Guide 2007 cover girls! What would you like to know? (Ask them anything!) Post your questions as comments to this blog, and we’ll run the most interesting questions—and our cover girls’ answers!—in an upcoming DG Blog! Please post your questions by Friday, June 22. To get you thinking, here’s a mini conversation DG had with Hana! (Don’t forget to read her journal in the June/July issue of Discovery Girls!)
What were you thinking about as you boarded the plane for San Francisco?
I was wondering what San Francisco would be like and what all the girls at the photo shoot would be like. I was pretty tired by then, though—packing took a lot of energy!
What was the morning of the photo shoot like?
I was cold! San Francisco feels a lot like Oregon, which was nice since it felt like home! But I warmed up whenever I thought about the next few hours. I love it when people do my hair, so I was excited about that!
What were you thinking when you actually arrived at the shoot?
Well, I met all the girls and everyone seemed pretty shy. I had a lot on my mind, namely: What will I be wearing?! When I was getting my hair and makeup done, I kept thinking about my best friend because we love to do makeovers together! By the end of the day, I was thinking, I just hope they’re getting the photos they want! And then, I wish the day would never end!

Where I got the Outfits:
Dear “Hey Maddi! Loved the outfit”,
Hey! This is Maddi. You asked me where I got the hoodie and the skinny jeans.
To tell you the truth, I wasn’t the one who bought the clothes. (I wish I was, though!) I wasn’t the one buying the outfits, so I have no idea where the DG Coordinators bought them. However, I DO have a pair of jeans similar to those that i actually own, and I CAN tell you wear I got those.
If you’re looking for a pair of medium colored skinny jeans with rhinestones at the back pockets, they are available at any Kohls or JCPenny Stores. As for the hoodie, I’m not sure where they’re from, but Unionbay could be a positive guess. Hope you found the items you were looking for! I know you’ll look great in them!

How were you able to keep in touch with your family? (or did they go to San Fran. with you?) I can’t imagine what it would be like to be on the cover of a nation-wide magazine!
Another question: Were you at all disappointed for some reasons? (For instance, if the pictures didn’t turn out like they should’ve)
Were the DG Stylists and Coordinators nice? Did you have fun? I wish so much to be able to meet the DG Board….and actually get a chance to talk to them! Lucky you guys! ♥♥♥
