The DG Pet Issue: Megan & Mr. Cuddles

To celebrate DG’s February/March pet issue, we’re introducing you to our Ohio Discovery Girls and their pets this week on DiscoveryGirls.com. So far, you’ve met Alexis and her dog, Pippi, and Ariel and her cat, Angel.
Today, meet Discovery Girl Megan and her cuddly companion, Mr. Cuddles—a guinea pig!
“Mr. Cuddles is special because he chose me. He was a Christmas present that hadn’t been picked up. Other guinea pigs had bitten off the hair behind his ears, and he was forgotten. Nothing makes our relationship more special than knowing that I have him for a reason. Mr. Cuddles is the sweetest pet ever! He has never and will never bite anyone, and he loves every person, no matter what. He has some special behaviors, too: When I sing, he sings along with me, and when I open the fridge, he squeaks because he wants a snack: celery, cantaloupe, and the tops of strawberries!”

My cat patches is so bizzar! She has an orange jack that we call “Her Baby” because she likes to pick it up gently in her mouth and bring it to us to throw. She’ll actually chase it and bring it back to me! -J.L.

I had two Guinea Pigs!
My sister and I joined them in “Holy matrimony”. We had them get married! But I think they were disabled to have children. The first one I had actually Squelled really loudly when the employee took him out. And for a second it felt like everyone heard it, and stopped to look at us. Funny! - Butterfly GRL
HAMSTERIFIC
Hi i have a hamster named Coco. Whenever i cuddle him in my arms he falls asleep. He looks so0o0o0o cute. And when i put the toilet paper role in front of him he would go inside and then i would give him a treat! Also whenever i open the cage he comes right to my hands ! I love him so0o0o0o0o0o much.

i have a hamster too his name is peanut and he is sooooooo nice never bit anyone. i have a dog too her name is jill! ans a kitty named kitty but she bites! love steph

My mom’s name is Jill. ANYWAY, to meghan, your guinea pig is adorable. I always wanted a hamster or something, but Mom is afraid of them. Of all rodents, really. Sigh sob sniffle sniffle, aw well, I’ll stick to looking at them on the internet! I have a dog, though, named Riley she’s adorable.

HI Megan and Mr. Cuddles! OMG Mr. Cuddles is so cute! I have a guinea pig called Chester and he also squeaks when I open the fridge! How cool is that?!!??! Plus, don’t u just think that guinea pigs are the cutest things? I do!

im glad you love your pet too. i have a dog named scooter and i’ve loved him forever. he gets me through hard times and is my total best friend. we need pets in the world to love.

i luv how u said “we need pets in the world to love” rock on sistah! imagine if the world was lifeless of animals….ugghh! imagine if u couldn’t have pets? if there were no zoos? no jungles?! that’d totally stink! we need to be grateful for the animals on earth because they are creatures like us. im not a big pet person but i do luv them!! i’ve heard stories how people find lil kittens on the highway or whatev. i think that’s soooooo sad! (even thu im allergic to cats and am scared of them) so be happy with the pet u have! xoxo Gracie
