Today and every day next week, we’ll be featuring the Ohio Discovery Girls and their pets on the DG Blog. In this post, you’ll meet Alexis and Pippi. Find out why their relationship is special, and then we want to hear from you about why you love your pet. Let us know in comments to this post!

“My Welsh Terrier is named after Pippi Longstocking. Pippi is energetic, fun, playful, and entertaining. She always makes me feel better when I have a bad day. When Pippi looks at me with those incredible eyes, I know she understands me. She makes me feel better. At night when I read, I really enjoy her company. She is very relaxed when she lies on my bed and this helps me to relax, too. Pippi is really well behaved and very spoiled! Her favorite thing is to have her belly rubbed!”

Pippi is adorable and so shiny. She looks like a stuffed animal! I have a pet dog that is a schnauzer poodle cross, A schnoodle!!!! I love all dogs and we are freezing up here in Canada!

pet problems!
Dear DG girls, I have a pet problem. 1 year ago i moved , and my parents wouldn’t let me keep my hamsters, because they thought theyd die on the trip up hear. NOW the PROMESED that when we got hear theyd get me a guinea pig. now were here and when i bring up the subject they say” Honey i don’t want you to get a guinea pig”. They stink and can you really take care of it? I’ve done TONS of research on them and proved i’m ready for one with my dogs but they still won’t budge! They did promise me and haven’t your parents always tought you to keep your promises?!? does any one here have a guinea pig? Can you tell me more about them1 And please help with my problem! I need it1

My West Highland White Terrier, Macy, is just like Pippi. Macy always makes me feel better and is so loving. She has big brown eyes that seem to tell me that she loves me lots. I tell her everything! I couldn’t live without Macy. Pets rock! And guess what? My favorite issue of DiscoveryGirls magazine was the Pet Issue!

Baby Blossom
My dog, Blossom is my best friend in the whole world. She’s big, fluffy, cuddly, and happy. Blossom makes me happy, keeps my secrets (duh), her smile brightens a dark room, and she makes me giggle, that’s the best part! She’s a 7 year old Austrillian Shepard from the SPCA. Her nicknames are Baby Blossom and Blossy. She loves hugs!

Rufio
My baby painted turtle, Rufio is so energetic and small. When my mom first bought him she held her palm open and Rufio went airborne. He’s pretty fast for a turtle. I absolutly love animals I hope to be a wildlifebiologest when I grow up!

At first I thought that Pippi was a stuffed dog! She is so cuuuuute! My dog is funny, and SOOOO lazy! But he’s only 4 years old (in people years) he loves his tummy, head and back scratched. Some times, he’ll be so lazy, he’ll sit down next to our coffe table, and just stick his chin on it. He’s weird and funny.

I have a welsh terrier too, her name is Katie or (Windom worth the wait) that was her name in the show dog ring. Katie was the top Welsh Terrier at Wesminister in 2001. Now she is just a dog ( not a show dog). We still love her LOTS!

Pippi totally reminds me of my cousins Airdale Terriers. You can they are related. Did you know that my best friend has a skunk? (No, she doesn’t spray. She has been descented.) she is really cute:)

I luv Welsh terriers sssssssssssoooooooooooooo much! I also love schnauzers and I have a pet dog that is a schnauzer poodle cross. A schnoodle!! Pippi is the type of dog I want to get someday and you look like you have a lot of fun together!!!!! From Sam in cold Canada (dogs rock!)
