You should NEVER NEVER NEVER say jokes during subjects, that is NOT how to get your teacher to like you. If she’s trying to teach math, and you put up your hand to tell her why the chicken crossed the road… DETENTION!
Maybe tell her just before recess bell, then you are not interfeiring with class time.
I totally agree on the strictness of the teacher. For that, I’d say turn in your homework or volunteer.

Turn in Homework because then the teacher doesn’t have to have all that extra stuff on their plate with having to worry about your homework. Therefore, the teacher isn’t as stressed and is happier! (Also, you always want your teacher to believe you are responsible, and if she doesn’t think that, your parents WILL FIND OUT.)

Bring her presents on the two big days…. Christmas break and last day of school. Dont bring her/him a lot of presents on other days just to be nice…. maybe once a year is good! And on her birthday make her a card or wish her happy birthday if you dont have time for a card.

Ok well most of the teachers I’ve had have liked me, but I had this one REALLY mean teacher who hated me for no reason! I just ignored her for a while but she kept giving me these things called blue sheets(that you get when you get in trouble)for nothing! I couldn’t wait until the year was over.
I’m not a Miss Goodie Two-Shoes, but I’m not a Bad Girl, either. My BFF is a bad girl, so I look like an angel compared to her. that gives me an advantage!

Well my advice for you girls out there is too just be your self ,dont completely change yourself just to make yourself look like a complete angel to your Teacher (Unless you have bad ways). I just be myself in school and My current teacher seems to like me.
You should have fun in class, but think carefully. Dont raise your hand and tell a “knock-knock” joke, but If you have something funny to say about the subject, then go for it! But be careful. If you always answer the question with something that makes the class laugh, then the teacher will never call on you, even when you’re being serious.

If you have the right teacher it is great to be funny!! Tips for being funny in class:
If your teach is super strict, don’t attempt humor, bad idea!!
Get to know what kind of humor your teach likes and dislikes. Be careful about using different kinds of humor!
Think before you say something you think is funny, it might not be to the teacher!
Be appropiate! Don’t say anything that could have a possibly wrong (you know what kind of wrong I mean) meaning underneath!
Don’t use sarcasm! One of my teachers (from like 4 years ago) hated sarcasm.
Use humor sparingly! Don’t say the same joke over and over again, no one will think it’s funny.
Never say something that might hurt someone’s feelings, save the drama for the halls.
I hope these helped, and my number 1 tip is have fun in class no matter what!!!!
