I know EXACTLY how you feel!
I know exactly how you feel! Like your teacher treats everyone diffrently, like he or she totally ignores you, as if your not even in that class!! I went through the EXACT same thing this year. i like my teacher because she was really funny but when it came to me i think she thought i was as uslelss as a flys hair! It made me dread to go to school everyday! I tried to follow all of the tips above, like being extra nice, doing homework on the right time and not talking in her class when she was. None of it work. I even said a nice comment too her every day like “i love your shirt” or “Is that a new haircut? It looks great!” I went out of my way to try and make her see that I was a good kid. But all I got was put downs and negitivity. She had three favorites in the class and everyone new who they were. my teacher made me feel so bad! But then by the end of the year I finally realized that it wasnt me, some people just dont like people and i runined my whole year because of it. So for the last month of school I did nothing to try and impres my teahcer. I just tried to be me! And she still never liked me but i learned for next year to never try so hard to impress a teacher, because somtimes teachers can be too difficult for your control! i grew up with very strict parents, so when ever i go to school or something i am always the teachers pet!!! it sounds like i am a spoiled brat, i hate that kind of atention because the other kid’s are always giveing me dirty looks. so, although i do not know what you guys are going through, i am haveing simalar problem.

I totally understand. In grade 3, my teacher let me grade papers and take kids in my class outside into the pod to help them study. Then one day, a girl in my class was absent and we had to clean the class room and somebody found a note on her desk saying that I was teachers pet and to pass it on. Then the next day my teacher asked me if I wanted to step out of the class for a moment and I didn’t know what was happening so i said no thank you. BIG MISTAKE. She started to talk about the note and how I was an A+ student and very responsible and that’s why I didn’t have to do my jounal entries with everyone else and I got to mark papers. SO HUMILIATING. I still love her though and she is still my favourite teacher (apart from everyone else in my old school cause our school was small and like everyone know me and all the teachers knew me and they are still the best school I’ve ever been to. They give you so many oppurtunities like talking to the board of education.)

My friend’s mom is the head of everything and i mean EVERYTHING!!!!! She is on the PTA at school and everybody knows that my friend is the teachers pet. I just hate it when they say it though. Whenever I went to school last year, there was this really nice girl, and she was the teacher’s pet, but after she started noticing that she was the teacher’s pet, she started becoming SO mean! I HATE the new her! And then, since i am one of the smartest people in my class, my teacher HATES me! And whenever i raise my hand to all the questions she looks at me and then looks at her “pet” and calls her even when she is staring into space, and she is sorta dumb, But she gives her good grades anyway since she likes her. If your teacher does’nt like you it’s mabey because you don’t work hard enough. So try to work harder if you are working harder then ever before, ask your teacher why you still did’nt get good grades. Understand
First of all, maybe she does like you but you don’t see that. Alot of teachers are tired and grumpy. So she probably does like you! And if you do feel like she doesn’t like you then work harder, hand in ur homework on time, and volenteer! I hope this helps. And be a good studen’t!

I honestly felt the same way! My teacher was always sooo mean to me! Also, she had only a few favorites including my BFF which really sucked because I couldn’t talk to her about it because she loved my teacher! What really bugged me was that she took more points of my test then BFF’s than mine even though we had practically the same answers! Good Luck!
Back On Track
It’s not fun to feel hatred, but look at things from a different angle, why would your teacher hate you? If she does, then they don’t know you very well. Even if you always get in trouble there’s no reason to hate you. But try to work a little bit harder and you’ll see. Also, if your feeling this way, try talking to a parent, maby a school guidence counsler. If you still feel the same way try talking with your teacher. But if you do this, do it when no one else is around.Hopefully, you to will work things out and you’ll be back on track again soon.

Same Story Different School
I’m with ya sister! Last year my Eglish teacher seemed to hate me! Whatever I did she critizized me. I loved writing stories and reading them but last year I hated them. After the first semester my stories were horrible and I had only got a B in reading. Then my teacher gave one of my stories a F and wrote “Patricia quit writing you’re horrible!” I was so mad! I started working extremly hard on one of my stories to prove to my teacher I could do it. Then my story actually got published. I will always remember the day I marched into her room flung the book down and said: “There I can to write!” My teacher smiled and said: “I knew it all along but I had to make you mad at me. Mad enough to prove to me that you could write. And write you did.” I walked out of that room with pride knowing I passed her strange test. Remember sometimes critizism can be the best teacher!
I understand
Most of my teachers like me. Well, except for my music teacher, Mrs. Bunk* . I don’t really think she’s too fond of me. She’s afraid of me b/c I’m different. But I still try to do everything I’m supposed to in class and be a good student. That way, I know I’m not misbehaving. You just have to remember that there will be ppl who like you, and ppl who don’t like u in this world. you can’t always win over everybody, but as long as u are the best you can be, then others will respect you. Besides, no one really likes Mrs Bunk anyway.

Your teacher has no reason to hate you. But maybe you should try to show her that she has no reasons for hating you. Turn in your homework on time finish class assignments be kind. If those don’t work try talking to your parents they will help.
Are You Sure?
Are you absoulutley sure she hates you? Maybe she doesn’t even realize that you aren’t being called on enough. If that’s the case then just give her a little nudge about your eagerness to participate in the class. If it’s completley obvious she hates you then just be the best student you can be. If that doesn’t work then don’t let her harsh your mellow. If her hatred of you is affecting your grades then there is definetly a problem. Adults can make things better. Ask your teacher about what you can do to get on ‘her good side’. That’s all my advice! Hope it works out between you and her! :-)

It's not worth it!
If you think your teacher hates you my advice would be to keep being yourself around them even if it means them hating you more. Even if they did start finally liking you would you really want them to like some goody goody you aren’t over being hated for being someone that you really are? Teachers who can’t like people for who they are are never worth it so you shouldn’t waste your time on them. It’s only one year that you have to put up with them anyway.

Get an Adult
Last year i had a teacher that no matter what ignored me. He did this because on the first day i forgot a pencil and had to go to my locker. He would also count my work as late so i always got a D. I said sorry so many times but he ignored me! I told my parents and they talked to him about it and that time he said sorry to me. It all worked out and i aced his class.

Oh good god! I feel really sorry for you! Does the teacher act meanly towards you? Do they alter your grade bcuz they don’t like you? If not, continue the school year and don’t worry! You can’t make them like you. If they DO alter your grade and stuff, tell your parents or complain to the principal. You can’t make them like you. But it also can’t hurt to just boost the behavior bar a little further up!

Don’t worry about it! Pick a time after or before school to speak with her/him in private. Tell your teach that you feel left out, uncomfortable and other problems that you have with him or her. She or he will understand and will let you start from 0. By the way that same thing happened to me too! Exept it was a counserler for an after school program that I went. That lady is MEAN!!! YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS BUT SHE HERSELF SPREAD RUMORS ABOUT ME LIKING A BOY ( HE WAS MY BFF ACTUALLY)!! I had a really mean but good english teacher and on my first day of school I accidentally walked out of class before she dissmissed us but i thought we could go cuz the bell rang. anyway, later my friends told me that she was really mad at me and i cryed becuz she was the one teacher i wanted to impress. later that night i sent her an email and apologized and said i was sorry cuz i was rude but i didnt mean to be and later she sent me an email back that jsut said”thanks!!” now im one of her favorite students- it works to send emails even though it is kinda nerdy cuz then they know ur sincere and you dont actually have to face them in person. awsome huh!!!
teacher help
i know sometimes teachers are nice and sometimes they’re mean. When they’re mean though its probably for a reason. A lot of the time it helps after class to go up to your teacher and tell her that this hurt my feelings. It was so terrible. One of my guy friends wanted to know the top three people i liked and i wanted to know his top three. Well, i passed him a note. He was being nice and didn’t let this one kid see. The kid wanted to know what the note said so he told the teacher. The teacher took the note and read who i liked. I emailed my teacher because i asked my mom for her email adress and asked her forgiveness. She was suprised cause i am one of the behaving students, shes not mad anymore. Actually this was last week and im still mad at that one kid for being a tattletale!!!!

I thought kids could trust teachers! Guess I was wrong. My counselor is actually very nice (and young!) So I can’t relate to you, but I can say if you’re sure she did that and everyone knows I doubt she’s still at that school! Keep fighting! :-)
Teacher pets
Is it just me or has everyone else noticed that in all the postings here everybody is always complaining about English Teachers. Seriously I have the worst english teacher. My seat partner started talking and my teacher thought it was me, but it wasn’t. He got me in trouble TWICE!!! I tried to go up to her after school and explain and this is what she said. “Haylee if you want to sit down and chat all day about some stupid topic I have no problem with it as long as you don’t do it in my class and then try to make up some stupid excuse about it. Also try not to distraact the people around you like Steven your seat partner, people who actually want to do something useful about there life.” She is SOOOOOO mean to me.
On the Contrary...
I like my English Teacher a lot! She is so Awesome! Most of he time in her class we’re laughing to much, to actually get anything done! Btw, She’s Crazy! And Funny, and gives us hints on vocab. Tests. :)
Teacher Advice
Hey girls of the world! I’m sure this is a common problem among all of you, and I just want to let you know that you’re not alone. (Well duh!!! You can probably see that from all of these comments!) :-) Even so, I wanted to add my input to the list… If you think your teacher hates you, try harder. Always give your best answer, and even if it means writing what feels like a novel. That will prove to your teachers that you really do care about school and your work. It will prove to them that you are interested and have been paying attention. Also, I don’t like seeing all you guys write something like “She is SOOOOO mean to me.” or something like that, becasue they aren’t. If they truly ‘hated kids’ or ‘picked favorites’ all the time, they wouldn’t be working with kids. It takes a special person in my opinion to be a good teacher, but all the other teachers of the world are giving their best try, and thats all that counts. Lighten up on them… They are good people. The best way to deal with this problem is to just do your best each day(doing your homework, raising your hand, etc) and if you still feel like she hates you, talk to her about it and let her know how you feel. It may even feel better if you talk to an adult you trust about it before your teacher and then you could maybe get some advice first.
My Advice to be a great student
I think if you want to get good grades and get the teacher to think your a good student then follow all the derections and rules. Like some of the main rules are (1) Don’t talk while the teachers talking, if some one talkes to you don’t answer back and tell them after class why you did’nt answer back, so they know.(2) Always do your homework on time and don’t put your projects at the last minute do it first so you don’t have to worry about it.(3) Be nice to the teacher and be helpfull and volentear as much as you can. Work Harder Than the Rest
if you just do really well or sort of well you should be fine! I mean if it gets seriously bad where your teachers like flunking you on work that was really good than that’s when you should start panicking and get your mom to have a parent teacher conference i mean i like freak out over a B! and if like a teacher would damage my grade just cause she didn’t like you than that’s harsh man reall harsh. Every school year I have, I have something called open house. That’s when I get to meet my teacher 2 days before school starts. Everytime I meet my her/him I shank their hand and say “Nice to meet you, I am Madeyn, and I am looking forward to this year!” That’s just me. But most people just say “hi”. Bad start. i have the same problem i have a new teacher and i really think she doesn’t like me! i don’t know why she doesn’t i try in class i listen and my homework on time! but when ever she’s looking for a volunteer or someone to answer a question she doesn’t even look by table!! another time i tripped over a plug(but nothing happened) and my friend (who was following me) tripped over it and it came unplugged and she came over and started yelling at saying things like “this costs $400 if it’s broken you’re in big truoble’ and then she tried to turn it on and it didn’t work the she said ” Oh, great it’s not working you guys better have $400 to get a new one! you shouldn’t be playing aroungd it!!!!!!! ” and i get the point we shouldn’t play around it but we weren’t even goofing off! the a few min. later another kid tripped over and unplugged it and all she said was “oops, be carful, ok.” and i still think she doesn’t like me and i still don’t know why i tried most of the tip but it hasn’t worked yet so for now i’m just gonna try my best and to all of you who’s teachers don’t like them i know how you feel!

All my teachers really like me except this one teacher. She teaches high school and I am in 6th grade. I beleive you. You should tell the principal or counselor imeadiatly. this is unfair. In 4th grade, my teacher always put me in a group of boys for a project and she always gave me a cold look. Since the 1st day she came, i did nothing disrespectful to her.Her teacher’s pet was this extreamly mean girl. Now all my teachers like me. I never did figure out why my 4th grade teacher hated me.

I kinda understand. I’ve had a few teachers not like me before. But I don’t really have to deal with that now. I’m a great student and my teachers know. My advice is to do what you are supposed to, and that way they’ll have no reason to hate you. She was SO mean she even made the whole 3rd grade ( when i was in third grade) sing the whole KISSING song while me and my crush stood in front of eache other! she also sugested i had A D H D ( witch was later found out was true) but she was so rude! the best way to deal is to try your hardest to do good and to help others. if it doesn’t work just try to do things she CAN’T get you into troble with. you WILL make it!

1st of all, some teachers have favorites and students they don’t like. so be4 u even try to make her like u, just know that ur a great person and it might just be her fault and she might just not like u, which is her bad! but here r a few things u can do. u should raise ur hand in class, but not to goof off and say the wrong answers. u should do it becuz u want to participate and learn from mistakes! second, u should turn in assignments on time! if u always get detention and notes sent home becuz u never turn in work then she won’t like u! lastly, always be on time and never be tardy! that way, she wont get mad for u being late and she really wont hav a reason to get mad! so just be reasonable for what u do, and it should work out! but if she is stubborn and just does not like u, its her loss cuz i’m sure ur a great, fantastic person!

In 5th grade I thought my teacher hated me too. She gave me bad grades even though I got good grades on my paper. She got a lot of complaints about to much homework andkids not understanding. I was one of them. My friends were too. But this year, since my friends and I are in 6th grade, she isn’t giving that much homework. I just think she hated me and my friends last year. She gave this one girl in that class last year great grades and I was trying to get all a’s and all b’s and get a cellphone. Once I told her she gave me bad grades. I know exactly how you feel.

4th grade not great!!!
In 4th grade I had a great teacher……at the beginning at least.He kept on telling me what I could and couldn’t eat for snack.It was getting on my nerves so my mom went in and talked to him.Ever since he was like,”(Bleeps out name) no you can’t do that,no go away,well that would be unfair.” Blah blah blah blah blah.I didn’t see what he had against me.I mean he could’ve been mad at me for standing up for myself,but that would’ve been really immature.Other than that I really coudn’t figure out anthing else.I got a 4.0, I was always respectful to him and others.Never missed an assignment or anything like that.So it never really got any better,it was not a good year!

i think my teacher hates me 2. iv really jus learned to deal wit it. lik once i had HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE YEAR 4 sitting on my desk and she is my reading teacherso then she said “if the book has been made into a movie you cant do it as a book report” the worst part was that she was staring at my book as she said it!!!
