Maxi-mum Embarrassment
My crush and I go to the same summer camp, and one day my whole camp went on a trip to the beach. We only had a few minutes to change, so I stuffed everything in my bag. When it was time to leave, I dried off and tried to find my clothes, but I couldn’t find my underwear! My friends and I started looking, but my crush found them first…right next to his bag. I had my period, too, so there was a pad in my underwear! He was disgusted!

my embarassing moment
one friday i overslept and was getting dressed for school in a rush. i left my pajamas and underwear from the night before on the floor. two of my friends came over after school. we decided to play hide and seek and they went upstairs to hide. when i came up they were staring at my underwear. worse, it was only my secound period and i had a used pad in it. i diddnt even tell them about my period yet. i was humiliated!

dont worry about not having your period im in the sixth grade and i still don’t have my period and i am actually very happy about that because i dont have to worry about swimming with a tampon because ya cant swim with padssss!!!!!!!!!! so be happy

Im in seventh grade and ALL my friends have their periods, and when they all start to talk about it i feel SO left out, becuase i still dont have mine…and i still dont have to wear a bra yet…i am a VERY late bloomer i guess.

It’s normal not to have your period yet… most girls don’t get thier period til they’re 13 or 14… and trust me, from what I’ve heard, a period is NOT a pleasant expirence. So you’re lucky! :)

That happened to a friend of mine. But we hung our stuff on this tree near by and we started looking around when her crush pointed out that someone was flying thier undies! She had to leave them there and go undieless ALL the rest of thwe day so nobody would call her undieflyer.

Wow! That must have been SO embarrassing! Exspecaly when you had your period! I once was at summer camp and we just went in the pool, and i forgot to wear a tampon and my pad got soaked, and blood came out every where! I ran to the bathroom, cried, and got a tampon, I just pretended i got a cut!

I have mine too and i totally know how challenging life can be for some…most girls..it is very annoying i feel very bad for you but i totally understand once i left a used tampon on my dresser and my little brother found it and started playing with it!!!!!! my dad and our dinner guests all saw it and worst of all, my mom said, ‘oh sweetie it happened!’ i was soooo embarrassing i never said a word to any of my family members for 3 years!!!

For girls that haven't had it...
i had my first period last month and for the rest of you that haven’t had it, don’t worry. It doesn’t really hurt. I was in gym class on day and when i was going to the bathroom,there was blood in my undies! It wasn’t very much though. Later that night i got some very bad cramps. But they only lasted for a few minutes. So don’t worry. And if you don’t have it untill you are much older, then don’t worry either because it happens in a lot of differents age groups and just cause you havn’t had it doesn’t mean that you aren’t mature. Besides, you are probably more mature than me anyway. I am still flat too!!!

I get horrible cramps but bubble baths make them feel better and the are also relaxing!!!!

Wow, the fourth day, only? I get Cramps two days before but by the time I notice them there so bad that I get sent home. Though, thats never happened to me (leaving a bloody pad for people to see). Once I got bad cramps on a field trip to watch a play. It was so bad that i looked like I was going to pass out….. and I was totally grumpy! My to teachers are Mothers….. both with girls…. so they know a lot about this stuff. Nether of them wanted to mention it, since most of the class was guys. Instead, they asked to talk to me after everyone left. Thats when my friends teacher whom I no really well, asked me whats wrong. I said nothing. Then she said, “Come on. You can tell us. We were suppose to have health anyway. Why don’t you just explain it.” two teachers looked at me then at my friends teacher and whispers in her ear. My friends teacher looks at me and says, “Do you need a pad or a tampon?” By then I was beet red. Every one was looking at me. Since most of the boys had girlfriends, they already no about that stuff! Thats when someone else spoke and that boy replied. “Ya, do u want one my sister might have one!” Heres some advise for u…. take some advil, drink remedy tea and try to get to sleep! I tell ya, it works!

i got mine in 5th grade and i was the only one! it used to be embarrassing but now that i’m older most of my friends have it too so it’s no big deal anymore. it may seem new for those of u who just got it, but it soon becomes a regular part of ur life so hang in there!!

Yikes! Im so sorry- that is really embarassing. I have mine too and i tottaly know how you feel. For those of you girls out there who are scared to get your periods, I have some advice for you: First of all, they aren’t that scary. The first time you will probably notice because there will be blood in your undies. Don’t panic! If you dont have a pad with you (I recommend using a pad for your fist few- they’re easier) just use some toilet paper. If you’re at school go to the nurse if you think you need to. But that’s pretty embarassing, so you might just want to wait until you get home. Telling your mom is the harest part. Just take a deep breath and say it. Periods usually last for 2-5 days. You usually get them once every month or so. They become more regular after a year or so. Before and during your period you’ll probably get cramps. They can hurt alot but usually only last for a few minutes. If they’re really bad and you’re at school, just tell the nurse you have a stomachache and ask to go home. Ok, thats basically all there is to it. Oh, and after you get your first period, its a good idea to tell a friend that you have it. That way if you run into any problems, you can go to them for help. I wrote the comment above yours. I have some advice for you: First of all, how old are you? Most girls get their periods betweeen 11-14. To start you could talk to your friend and ask her what she did when she got hers. On your first time, the flow of blood (sounds gross, i know) wont be that much, you will probably just have some spotting in your undies. I dont think it will be enough to leak through your clothes yet. When that happens, if your mom isnt around, just put some toilet paper in your underwear and wait until you can tell her. To help ease yuor nervousness, just remember that on your first time it most likely wont be enough blood to leak through your clothes. If it makes you feel better, put some pads in you backpack or locker just in case. Good luck, you can do it! Ive got my period, like, 2-3 years ago. Not 2 scare anyone, but i HATE it. You have to sacrafice a lot of stuff. Like going 2 water parks if u cant get a tampon in. That happened 2 me. Once, i had 2 go on a 2 hour car ride, and it seeped through my pad and my pants!(I have no clue how), and i had 2 get 2 a bathroom before anyone saw. I kept on going to the b-room cause i didnt have any avalible pads in the car, and i needed 2 stop it, and my bro was wondering y i was going 2 the b-room so much. So, i just said i really had 2 go 2 the b-room cauuse i had 2 pee. Now, he always tells everyone that i have a bladder problem…

Actually, our school nurse said that between nine and fourteen is normal, but some girls get it as early as nine or as late as sixteen.

Monkeyluver, I am totally scared cuz i am gonna be in 5th grade and im 10 and I know thats like the age where a lot of girls get their period!!!! My 4th grade teacher only let us go to the b-room once a week and i know u need to change the pad like every 2 hours on days when yur bleeding heaviest. Don’t worry. I think i am going to have my period soon to, but you know what i do i have a purse and i carry around a pad in it so if you ever have it in a public place and u have your purse you will be prepared.
