Hair Scare
On Halloween, I was dressing up as the witch, Elphaba, from Wicked. My hair is blonde, and instead of wearing a wig, I wanted to dye it black with one of those hair dyes that washes right out. So with my mom’s help I applied the dye…but instead of my hair turning black, it turned purple! Halloween night was one thing, but it was a very long two weeks at school while I waited for the purple to wash out!

Although its a great story, I don’t actually feel that bad for you. Maybe purple isnt ur color but personally i would love standing out for a week or two. I think alll the attention u mite hav gotten would be fun.

It would be sssooooo cool to have my DIRTY blonde hair purple. There are some pretty outragous hair styles at my school. A lot of the boys dye theirs and one had a HUGE purple and green mohawk! A MOHAWK. but ya id love to have my hair dyed:):):):):)

Why would you be considered a dork? I agknowledge people that have the courage to stand out and be different and I think that lableing because you dare to be different from the crowd is wrong. Maybe you should try to look past the exterior and try to get to know a possibly great friend!

I agree, I would not mind that much.I think it would be realy cool to stand out for a few weeks (and only a few weeks) and not be like anyone else ( because, i mean cmon , who has purple hair! Im sure I would get a few negitive coments but it would be awsome to have that kind of atention. I have black/dark golden hair, It sorta LOOKS like I have highlights.

I went to a Halloween party on a Sunday night and i was going as a fairy(pink and black one)On the hair spray it said washed out instantly! Well it didn’t. I had to go to school for 3 weeks till it was just plain regular! Actually i was thinking that I’d dye it again and again! My advice NEVER TRUST CANS OF HAIR STUFF UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN!!!

For all you Wicked and The Wizard of Oz fans, ask your parents if you can read the book “Wicked”, by Gregory Maguire. I also want to read the next book in line. It is called Son of a Witch and is about Liir. You have to read Wicked to know who he is, because he’s not in the play. Wicked is probably for girls ages 12 and up, so be sure to check with your parents or have them read it first!
I’m sorry about your horrible hair insedent, but I actually do want to dye my hair purple. Not all of it, but part - like a little streak, or so. Just keep “Dancing Through Life”!!!

Actually, something similar happened to my friend once. We have crazy hair day at my school once a year, and my friend dyed her brown hair purple. It looked SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! But it didn’t wash out for about 2 months! But everyone thought she still looked so cool with her “new hair”! Even still, her hair is red-ish brown, actually looks better now :) !

Could Have Been Worse
Well purple hair is weird but its not that bad because TONS of people dye their hair different colors. I dyed part of mine pink and but it lasted for 4 months so if you think that’s really bad, just think of how you’d feel in my situation (even though I liked it) p.s.: I was Elphaba for Halloween once!

Well i just have to say it was a good story and all but it’s not that bad if you really think about it my hairs brownand i died it purple for wacky hair day and you couold tell but not as much as you could on a blond.. and the hair bow that the die came in said it last for a month and it lasted for about a yearr and you could super tell on my blond spots but hey it was not that bad.. but i see where your going blond hair is way different then brwon and yeahh that would kinda suckk !! tehe

The hair dye could have been purple. Sometims purple can look black. For example, some purple leads look black, until you actually use it.

First of all, Whoa!!! I was Elfaba from Wicked too, but my hairs naturally black. Wicked is such a great musical. Anyway, when I was Elphaba, we couldn’t find a good green face paint, so we used a cheap internet instuction guide thingy. It totally didn’t work. It was all globby and i couldn’t get some off so i was green at school the next day!

I dye my hair all the time and its not “destroyed”. I have dyed my hair PERMANTLY blue, blonde, orange, black, and sunny yellow Its fun to stand out and try new things, and when we get older we wont really be able to do wild things with our hair because we would most likely get fired from our jobs. I think we should do all that we can NOW and enjoy life and strive to be different. -Midnight- (thats what everyone calls me because my hair is midnight blue right now)

One Halloween....
I went as Juniper Lee(Anyone ever seen the show? No? Yes??) for Halloween back in the fifth grade(Ahh!~ Good Times, Good times… : ) ) And like most of you I dyed My Hair.(Is that the correct Spelling 4 Dyed??) I dyed a strip of my hair Red. But It came out.( I used this gel-like dye) But this year I’m gonna be a Gypsy! ^ ^

Ya like I like dying my hair crazy colors for halloween but when it comes to permenent dye in like middle school to high school I just think that it’s a stupid idea. But you know what?
