Q: What should I eat before a big test? A: Eating the right meal and making sure you get enough sleep before a big test are almost as important as studying, so make sure you do all three! It's super important that you never skip breakfast, especially on the day of a big test. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day even on days you don't have a test. It jump-starts your metabolism and kicks your brain into high gear, so you'll definitely be ready to tackle that test! Try to go for a protein-rich breakfast, with things like eggs, fruit, and yogurt. If your test is later in the day, snack on nuts or a granola bar for an extra energy boost, and be sure to drink lots of water, too!

The first weeks of a new school year is an exciting time because it's a fresh start. It's also an opportunity to make a good first impression. Of course, you hear a lot about making a good impression with your looks—your clothes, hair, etc. But did you know there are many other factors that contribute to first impressions? Here are a few tips for putting your best foot forward the first week of school. Smile! Something as simple as a smile can let new students know you'd like to be friends. It can also let friends you haven't seen in a while know you're still the nice, friendly girl they remember from last year. Hold Your Head High and Shoulders Back. If you look confident even when you don't feel confident, others will pick up on it and feel more comfortable around you. Eventually, you might even start to feel more confident, too! Be Friendly to Everyone! You can never have too many friends. So even if you already have a good group of friends, challenge yourself to make more. Walk up to someone you don't know well, look her in the eye and say. "It's good to see you again! How was your summer?" Do you have any back-to-school tips to share?

It's back-to-school time! And that usually means a trip to the store to stock up on school clothes and supplies! With all the cute stuff out there, it can be tempting to buy way more than you need! Of course, you can't snatch up every cute thing you see. So how can you be sure you're making smart choices? With a few quick tips, you’ll be shopping smarter in no time! 1 . Make a list. If you need something specific, having a list handy will help you avoid making impulse purchases. 2 . Think it over. Why do you want it? If it’s just because it’s on sale, or your friend has one, reconsider whether or not it’s really worth spending money on. 3 . Come back later. Leave it at the store while you browse around the mall. Chances are, you’ll forget about it or find something better in the meantime! If not, you can always go back and get it. Have you already done your back-to-school shopping? Do you have any tips of your own?
