When I was a Tween...
- My favorite color was blue
- All I wanted to do was sing and be in musicals and plays.
- I read Discovery Girls Magazine! Each issue I would look at the Discovery Girls of each state and learn about them. They were like role models to me even though I didn't know them.
- I absolutely loved to read. Some of my favorite books were The Giver by Lois Lowry and Holes by Louis Sachar.
- My favorite movie was The Princess Diaries.
Although many things have changed in the past five or six years, I have still kept some of my favorites from back then. I still love to watch some of my old favorite movies, reading is still one of my favorite things to do, and I have been in over 30 theater productions ranging from class plays to community theater shows with more than 100 kids. When I was your age, I had so many dreams of what I was going to do when I grew up and some of them have come true because I worked hard for them. My advice would be to never give up on what you love. If you really enjoy doing something, keep doing it. Everything you choose to do is a chance to learn something new.

when i was little i wanted sooo badly to be the weather man, cause i thought he ( even though im a she) sat up in a nice big fluffly cloud wearing yellow rain boots and got to control the weather! :) i said i would make everyday nice and sunny lol now i want to be an interior designer, dance, artist, and pianist. When I was five I wanted to be a princess/mad scientist. When I was seven I wanted to be a singer. When I was eight I started doing musicals and plays like Oliver and Guys and dolls, and loved it! Last year in seventh grade I was in Godspell, and I got to sing the hit song “day by Day”! by myself! . When I When I was in fifth grade I had the greatest writing teacher, and that was when I discovered I wanted to be a writer of children’s books! When I was in first-third grade all I ever did was read and write stories and my teachers could never get me to do math! In sixth grade I had another great writing teacher, and I matured a lot in my writing. In seventh I kept of writing and doing plays, and now going into eighth grade (in 2 days!) Right now i want to go to college then culinary school and after that open up my own resturaunt i parisIm really bummed out right now volleyball tryouts were coming up in a week so i practiced for 1-2 hours every single day and worked like crazy. When it came to the volleyball tryouts i still wanted it like crazy so me and my friend did our best followed all the teqniques(bending your knees etc.) The only terrible thing was i never got a chance to show what I could do i would dive for the ball and the coaches wouldnt even see and today i just found out if I made the team and I didn’t make it. :( im soo upset I worked so hard and I really wanted this its because our side of the gym the ball wasn’t getting any where so I didnt get to hit it at all. It stupid I really wanted this and some of the girls on the team don’t even care about volleyball.hmmm

I wanted to be a princess up until I was five. Then I wanted to become a gymnast so badly until I was in fourth grade! Then when I joined dance in 3rd grade, I loved it so much, and wanted to become a dancer. I started to develop a big interest in writing when I was in 3d grade, but I never thought of becoming and author even when my teachers loved my stories. In 4th grade, I fell in love with fashion design. Eventually, in 5th grade, I finally settled on becoming a world famous, award winning, author. :) I love writing SO much, because I feel like I can create my own little world by just opening my eyes wide and see what’s in THIS world. I still keep on dancing, doing gymnastics, and fashion designing and improving as much as I can and working as much as I could. I keep my creativity going, I even choreographed two different dance routines for me and my friends in both of the 5th grade talent shows! (yep, there were two talent shows in 5th grade) We had to audition in order to be in the show, and we got in BOTH times! Our teacher loved our routine a lot because it was dance with a lot of gymnastics tricks. I love creativity, and I never stop. :)Big dreams, No support
I have wanted to be a singer and a book writer for as long as i can remember. I have been told that I am really good at both writing and singing. My mom used to support me, but now that I am 12 she says I should give up. A couple of years ago I told her I wanted to be a doctor and she was very proud. I recently told her that it made me sad to have given up my dreams and that I wanted to persue them, she wan’t happy and told me I needed to get my education and make it through college which I was planning to do even if I made it as a singer/book writer. I tried to reason with her, but she wouldn’t listen. If I make it, it will always hurt me that I didn’t have her support from early on, but I will never give up my dream.From one singer/author to another.....
Wow, my story is almost the same! I too want to be a singer/author, but my parents keep saying it’s not a serious job, and they want me to become a doctor or something close. Well, it’s your life, so if that’s what you want to do…. DO IT!!! And it’s great that at least someone else is like me!well guess what?

Hi! I’ve wanted to be an author for 4 years. First of all, never give up because someone else tells you to. Now is a good chance to show everyone how wrong they were when they told you to give up. However, if you want to do that, you have to have the skill to. If you’re not good at your dreams, it’s okay, because practice can get you to where your skills need to be. If you’ve got talent in your dream already, that’s fantastic!:(
Oh my gosh thats so sad I’m so sorry to hear that. Remember that all your real friends and family are there to support you and all you dreams, no matter how crazy or big they are. Just keep working as hard as you can at your goals, and believe in yourself <3. if thats what you want to do, DO IT, its YOUR LIFE and you only live it once! I would like to become an exotic veternarian (that’s a vet that works with animals like llamas, parrots, fish, emus, ferrets, turtles, ect.). I am actually volunteering at a vet’s office. I get to watch surgeries, do a variety of jobs around the clinic, and sometimes I can help prep dogs for surgery. For those of you who want to be any type of vet, try to shadow a vet. You may find that you absolutely love it or that you are totally discusted and would like to work with animals in different way. Good luck to everyone with following your dreams! :)... when I was young...
