Need a boredom buster? Here’s a super fun scavenger hunt that will get your brain and body moving!
Grab a few friends, siblings, parents, whoever! Split into groups, it doesn’t matter how many—you choose!
Decide where you want to have the scavenger hunt: in the backyard only, the house, or even the whole street you live on. You could even go to a park or a beach—some people do them at the mall, now that’s creative!
Make a list of things that all teams need to find—make it challenging! Your list will be different depending on where you are having your hunt. Look at the photo to see an example of a list of things to find around your home and yard.
Make a copy of the list for each team and decide when to meet again—in 10 minutes, or 20 minutes, you decide.
The teams then split up and race around trying to find all of the things on their lists. At the end of the time limit, meet again and see which team has the most items on the list—they’re the winners!
Be creative with this great game, you can search for about anything and everything! Good luck!

Picture Scavenger Hunt
We did a scavenger hunt where we had to take a picture - cell phone works great - An idea for a summer neighborhood scavenger hunt, would be to look for things like: A Picnic table, beach ball, 3 different trash barrels, mailbox with the number 9 on it, an American flag, Yellow house - the list could go on,, but,, fun to have a quick race with 2 or 3 teams…Treasure Hunts,,, night Manhunt,,,,
Great idea - I also like to do treasure hunts with my neighborhood friends. We make up clues and hide them - or have someone else make them and hide them - then we start with the first clue - for example: look for the biggest tree in Amy’s yard, or take 3 steps from the rock by Kristin’s front porch, something that is red and blue with the number 8 on it (mailbox) etc.. at the end there is usually a prize like gum, candy or something. Night Manhunt is great with a bunch of neighbors - basically hide and seek in the dark…Fun!
I did it with my Dad, and we had a blast! We split into 2, I found the first half, and he found the second half. We found everything but the four-leaf clover! ): But we are still looking! (:bored!
I get bored in summer sometimes. Any advice? Especially cows.are.my.heroes and Anne5.:)
I like being an especially :). My suggestions are playing soccer, riding bikes, going to movies, swimming (I think lakes and canals are funner than regular pools), and inviting friends over to have lots of fun relay races and such. I’m in a club which also can fill my schedules so a club could be fun to start with a few (hardworking) friends. Hope I helped!!!Cool!
That sound like a lot of fun! I might try that sometime.nice!
nice! but i wouldn’t do it as a contest i would just do it to have fun!i would
i would play it but i don’t have everything on the listwow
that is so cool i bet nobody could find a 90,penny that would be hard to find!um
aren’t four leaf clovers like, super rare? Cool idea, thoughya
To make a 4 leaf clover there has to be something that will faulter there genetics completely. It is SUPER rare… but you could always make one :)Awesome!

I can’t really do that. Can you give a boredom buster idea, um, I guess, things to do by yourself???Scavenger Hunt
my friend did a scavenger hunt at the mall it was really a lot of fun and another time me and me friends on halloween had a scavenger hunt it was fun. For my birthday I had a masquerade murder mystery party. I really enjoyed it we were all dressed up with the masks and everything for dinner. we even had our own fancy names. we had pasta for dinner with three different bowls for choices of sauce marinara, alfredo, and pesto. Yummy! after that everyone voted for there favorite mask and dress. then we went upstairs and watched the movie clue. Earlier in the day my sister traced me on white wrapping paper and we cut it out put a wig, clothes and drew a face on it, as we were watching the movie the movie and the lights turned off and we heard a scream so we went out to the deck and found the giant paper person but no one could tell it wasnt an actuaall person faking dead. we all screamed and were laughing then after that we all guessed which one of us was the murder. After that we went around the house looking for clues on peices of paper like a scavenger hunt. once we got to the very end there was an envolope that revealed who murdered the person on the deck. We had prizes for the person that guessed right and it was a blast!!!!!!cool
