When I Was a Tween...

Okay, it wasn't that long ago that I was in middle school! I loved the Artemis Fowl series when I was a tween. (And I still do!) I probably identified with Artemis because I was always on the computer, and I hated sports! I wasn’t very good at singing, either, or acting… and I definitely wasn’t a super genius, but just like Artemis, I was able to find other, less conventional activities that I enjoyed. Whereas Artemis excelled in crime, I found that I loved to write and draw. Back then, I wanted to be a comic book artist. I was absolutely obsessed with Japanese manga and anime, and I was always drawing schoolgirls and supervillains in the margins of my notes—that much, at least, hasn’t changed! So although a young criminal mastermind might be an odd choice of role model, I have to thank Artemis for showing me that you don’t have to be popular or athletic in order to be confident! What about you, girls? Do you have a fictional role model?

Wizards Rule!

My fictional role model is Harry Potter! I just feel like he goes through so much! Everyone in that book series inspires me in a different way…for example, Hermione Granger inspires me to do good in school and push toward my goals!

My Role Model

My Role Model is Nikki Maxwell from the Dork Diaries. Everyone calls her a dork, but she still gives all she has to do something she wants to do. And sometimes she even admits that she is a dork. Most of the time, I’m a dork, too! =)

okay well....

I’d have to say my favorite fictional character or role model would be Bella Swan from the Twilight Saga. I like her because she is always good under pressure. She makes sure everyone else is okay before worrying about herself! She might be in love with a vampire, but she has good reasons, he’s in love with her, he’s handsome, he’s smart, and he takes care of her. She is an amzing role model and she will always have a special place in my heart! <3 Thrillgurl3

ALMOST FORGOT!

ALMOST FORGOT! My other, and probably first favorite rolemodel, is Kim Possible! She was on for a while, but I miss her show. :( She’s my favorite because she teaches girls that you can be a heroine and rock it out!

My Fictional Rolemodel

I totally agree with the other girls that Luna Lovegood and Hermione Granger from Harry Potter are good role models! :) I also think that Amelia and Carly from the Amelia’s Notebooks are great fictional role models. What I like is how they’re so brave and smart.

Role Model?

This may sound crazy but my role model is The Rat which is the main character off of ratatouille! I love cooking! I want to be a gourmet chef when I’m older and since I would have to live in a big city to get good buisness, food critic reviews etc. But since I don’t like the city I decided I want to live in Paris!!! Sometime me and my family are going on a cruise and one of the ports is Paris im soo excited!!! The reason the rat is my role model is because no one thought that he could ever be a chef or even work in a kitchen and me no one thinks i would actually be able to afford moving out of the country and opening my own resteraunt. But I know I can acomplish it if I set my mind to it. Im already saving up money for culinary school!!

Artemis Fowl

I’ve heard of it and I have it. Isn’t nice to know what the DG interns liked and like to read? Today it hasn’t really changed. I haven’t read the book but maybe I will. Olivia did a good job describing it. Thanks! :-)

Arianna, The Princess of Balinor!

Yes! I have a fictional rosemodel. I love Ari from Unicorns of Balinor. It’s about a girl who lost her memory, and lives on a farm with her horse, but she’s actually The Princess of Balinor! And her horse/unicorn…is royal, too. But before then she didn’t need that crown, or a fancy throne. She was living happily on a quiet farm, and working hard with broken legs. And that’s why Ari is my fictional rolemodel! She’s taught me that you don’t always need to be important to be important!

Elizabeth Bennet From Pride and Predjudice

I admire Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Predjudice, mainly because of her witty retorts that are not rude, but help people to understand her point. If you’re looking for a great book to read, I definantly reccommend Pride and Predjudice! P.S If you find some of the words to be challenging, simply look them up in the dictionary. If you learn those words, you may become like Elizabeth yourself!

Well,I kinda like Sammy Keyes

Well,I kinda like Sammy Keyes as a role model but sometimes I disagree with her but thanks to her,I now solve my own mysteries! Mystery books are good for your brain! She always has to deal with this bully named Heather and they always end up with detentions I just learn from her mistakes and I’m looking forward to grab another book of Sammy Keyes from the library next Monday!

Me too!

I think Sammy Keyes, Sadie Kane, and Annabeth are good role models because they’re smart, resourceful, brave, a little bit of trouble makers( on accident of course they don’t try to get into trouble! ) and they’re loyal to their friends ( plus their girls )! I also think Percy Jackson and Harry Potter are good role models because they are really brave and loyal to their friends! I like all of them because they all remind me of me!

Luna Lovegood & Hermione Granger

I love the Harry Potter series and I think that these two were awesome role models. Luna is not afraid of what anything thinks of her and she is mysterious and kind of strange. Hermione (also from Harry Potter), unlike Ms. Bella Swan, has realistic relationship with her boyfriend. She is a super genius and is really brave. I also like Annabeth from the Percy Jackson series because she is also reeeeeally smart. I know this is kind of wimpy but I also think Belle (from Beauty and the Beast *hangs head in shame*) is a good role model. She didn’t choose the big and brawny guy instead she chose the beast who had a good heart after all. Oh and she was a bookworm who wanted adventure.

yeah and then it turned out

yeah and then it turned out that the beasts really turned out to be a handsome guy! I like that story and Belle and love the whole gang, the beast, and all of the other people who got turned into something in the kingdom!

Yes

Her name is Sandra. She is Winnie’s older sister from the books Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen, and Thirteen Plus One. I like her because she is nice to her family. Also, she doesn’t care that much about her appearance. She doesn’t wear makeup or try to be popular. That is why I like her.
