Role Model Contest Entries!
For the past several weeks, Discovery Girls has been flooded with all of your questionnaires for the Role Model Contest. As an intern, one of my primary jobs this summer has been to read through all of them, and let me say how impressed I am by all of you! From the hundreds that I’ve read, I’ve found that DG readers are a special group of girls! Many of you are very mature and wise for your age, others are extremely involved and do an ton of volunteer work, and a great deal of you seem quite sure of yourselves and confident in the person you are now and the person you are becoming.
Let me say also that not only have I been amazed by all of you, but have also really enjoyed getting to know you. After reading through so many, I feel like I have a greater understanding of the DG girls and honestly wish I could meet all of you!

Like many other girls, i entered the contest (praying that i’ll be lucky) and all of you girls are AMAZING role models! This would be great for me and my family to visit the “Land of Fame”! I tried my very best and poured my whole heart into each question. I added a short video and 3 pictures of me being me! I very much agree with you. I entered as well, and am still prayng to be chosen. I would love to meet everyone else, and go to California. ( i have never been out of my country!) I would love to work for a magazine like DG, instead od working for the boring celebrity one. I like reading about people and other things I can relate to better than a celebrity. I am not a skinny person, but I think I have the potential to be in DG. And if you’re picked, I will definitly vote fot you! :)well from that

haha i was soo worried because I kept planning on entering, and I FINALLY remembered….15 minutes before the contest was closed! Because I couldnt go to the mailbox, I emailed mine. I am soo glad I wrote what I was going to say on a document! Phew! But I really hope I will be a finalist and go to CA. I have NEVER been out of my country! ( Or even out of my continent!)FUNNY!!!

I have been traveling a TON and I ended up doing my questionarre in Louisiana, which is far away from my Colorado home. I don’t have a video camera, and my mom didn’t bring hers, so I didn’t get to do a video… Being included in a magazine has always been a dream of mine, and so do you guys think that my chances are diminished?Nope
The video was optional so I don’t think so. I didn’t do a video ether. And they said they make their choice based on the questionarre. It has always been my dream too.Kendra is so pretty!!! please
