congratulations paige and ileana! good luck& can’t wait to read your profiles :) aww they didn’t pick me. i wanted to get in because not only does being in DG seem like so much fun, but i didn’t apply when they came to canada 3 years ago and being 13 this was my last chance to be a discovery girl. oh well - that’s okay. the 30 girls dg picked are all really amazing role models - and they picked 4 girls from canada too! i guess they can represent my country for me : ) even though i didn’t get in, i had a lot of fun filling out the questionnare and it was actually a bit of a wake-up call for me. now that i’ve done the questionnare and read about these 30 awesome girls, i feel like i need to be a bit more of a role model. now, before i do something, i’m always like, ” is this what a good role model would do?” and i’ve found i’m actually becoming a better person.so thank you dg for that. :) and for all the girls who, like me, applied and didn’t make it, you’re all role models in your own special way - just like the 30 girls dg picked. i’m sure dg would have picked 300 girls if they could! We’re all role models to someone, and we’re all awesome. so to the 30 girls that dg picked - congratz! i’m sure i’ll learn lots from you. and to all those who didn’t make it - even though you’re not a dg role model, you’re still a role model! dg could only pick 30 girls. you’re still awesome - so don’t let not being picked get you down! : )cool!

We just want to clear up some misunderstanding. It seems like some of you think that we picked more girls from California on purpose and left out others...but this isn't true at all! We honestly read every single one of your applications and tried to be fair by picking girls whom we thought were great role models. (It just so happened that 6 girls were from California...but we also picked 4 girls from Canada!) The 30 finalists are all amazing girls that we think we can all learn something from. Be sure to check their profiles soon to get to know each and every one of them before you vote!

hey girls, I am unfortunately not one of the 30 finalists. But I think all of you girls have what it takes to be a DG. You are all so positive and kind! One thing I don’t understand is why they pick so many girls from California? I think it’s because they said they would pay for your flight down to California and they don’t want to pay as much so they picked more girls from California. idk… anyway congradulations to the 30 finalists and for the rest of us better luck next time!
