Telling secrets can strengthen a friendship, but it’s smart to be careful. Think about the person you trust most in the world. You probably feel like you could tell her almost anything, right? Now think about how long it took to get there. Chances are your trust wasn’t built overnight.
When you’re first getting to know a new friend, start with small secrets. Tell her you’ve always dreamed you’ll be a star…not who your crush is, or that your parents are having money problems. You can always work up to bigger secrets later, when she’s totally earned your trust.

that’s happened to me before, and yeah it probably hurts but maybe talk to her about it after all she’s your bff. Try to branch out and find new friends, too. Some of me and my friend’s “friends” were having a sleepover one night after school exept they tried to keep it a secret in a mean and rude way. one of them brought a huge and mysterious bag and her mom left without her. when I went to go play with them theyran away from me and they locked themselves in the bathroom. I think you are doing the right thing by keeping your friend’s secrets form her friends….. if she asks you to tell than you can probably tell them. But I think I give to many people my secrets so it’s better to be protective than to share them with almost everyone you know!! So , I have REALLY learned my lesson!!To Soon?
I told my friend I liked this kid but another girl overheard and told him. I denied it but her knew it was true. I tried to cover it up by saying “You like Henry* and you know it so stop lying!” but it just made it worse. My friend and I are having a birthday party together and that girl is coming but I think we are fine now because that was three years ago!
