How can you get someone to stop picking on you at school? Ali offers her advice.
Dear Ali,
There is a guy who annoys me all day at school, and the only reason he does it is because he has a problem with my learning disability. He's really messed up. What can I do to get him to stop bothering me?
—Annoyed
It's great that you understand that this guy is the one with the problem, not you! Sometimes people who aren't happy with themselves or who want to be the center of attention pick out someone to annoy. Be sure to talk with your teacher, if you haven't done so already, and your parents too. They can help make sure you don't sit near this guy in class or at lunch! If he starts up anyway, try to totally ignore him, or respond with a funny comeback like, "Thanks for thinking about me all the time!" or "I'm due back on planet Earth now—we'll talk later!" Keep it light—you want to quash his feelings of being able to hurt you, but you don't want to hurt him or anyone else in the process. Once he sees that he isn't really bothering you anymore, odds are good he'll stop.
